How Our Tools Work

Most of our tools operate client-side (in your browser), but some features require server processing:

Client-Side Processing (Browser)

The majority of our tools process data entirely in your browser:

JSON/XML/YAML/TOML parsing and formatting
Basic validation and syntax highlighting
Simple conversions between formats

For these features, your data never leaves your device.

Server-Side Processing (Temporary)

Some advanced features require server processing:

Complex format conversions
Advanced data repair and correction
Large file processing

Important: When server processing is used:

Your data is sent to our server over a secure HTTPS connection
Data is processed immediately in server memory
Results are sent back to you
Your data is immediately discarded from server memory
Nothing is saved to disk, database, or logs
The entire process takes only milliseconds

Browser Storage

Our tools may use your browser's local storage for the following purposes only:

Saving your preference settings (theme, default format, etc.)
Temporarily caching the tool interface for better performance

Important: We never store your actual data (JSON, XML, etc.) in browser storage. You can clear this at any time through your browser settings.
