Chart Maker

Open a CSV or Excel file and turn it into a clean chart in a few clicks: bar, line, pie, scatter or histogram. The chart is drawn as you change the settings, and you can download it as a sharp PNG for slides or an SVG for documents. Your data stays in your browser.

How to make a chart from a CSV file

  1. Open your file: CSV, Excel or JSON, or try the sample sales data.
  2. Pick a chart type. A chart is suggested from your data: a line chart by month if there is a date column, otherwise a bar chart.
  3. Choose the category and the values. Rows with the same category are combined using the aggregate you choose, so you can chart total revenue per region straight from a list of orders without making a summary first.
  4. Add a title, pick colours and download the chart as PNG (at double resolution, sharp on slides) or SVG (scales to any size, editable in Figma, Illustrator or Inkscape).

Which chart should I use?

ChartBest for
BarComparing amounts across categories: sales by region, tickets by team. Use horizontal bars when labels are long.
Stacked barTotals per category and what they are made of, using “Split by” or several value columns.
Line / areaChange over time. Group dates by month or quarter to smooth out daily noise.
Pie / donutShares of a whole, with only a few categories. Use “Top 8” to group the rest as “Other”.
ScatterThe relationship between two numbers, such as price and quantity. The trend line shows the correlation (r) and R².
HistogramHow the values of one numeric column are distributed: typical range, skew and outliers.

Charts from a pivot table

Build a summary in the pivot table and click “Chart this” to open it here, ready to plot. Every chart's underlying numbers can be downloaded as CSV, so the figures in your report always match the picture.

Everything is drawn in your browser. Nothing is uploaded, and there is no watermark.

Frequently asked questions

How do I make a graph from a CSV file?

Open the CSV on this page, choose a chart type, a category column and a value column. The chart appears instantly, and you can download it as PNG or SVG.

Can I make a chart from Excel data?

Yes. Open the .xlsx, .xls or .ods file directly and pick the sheet; there is no need to convert it to CSV first.

Do I need to summarise my data first?

No. If several rows share a category, they are combined with the aggregate you choose (sum, average, count, min or max). A list of orders becomes revenue per region in one step.

Can I download the chart?

Yes, as a high-resolution PNG for presentations and documents, or as SVG, a vector format that stays sharp at any size and can be edited in design tools.

Is it free and private?

Yes. There is no sign-up and no watermark, and your data never leaves your browser.
